Kathy Benner with
The Animals' House is a certified trainer and has an extensive background in animal behavior and training. Her educational background includes a BS degree in Biology from Cal. Polytechnic State University and a certificate in Exotic Animal Training and Management from Moorpark College, as well as a certificate in Pet Dog Training. She spent four years in Hawaii training dolphins. Kathy has trained many other species of exotics, including several different species of primates, hyenas, mountain lions, Bengal tigers, parrots, llamas, sea lions, penguins, and seals. She is also an accomplished equestrian, having shown and trained horses since 1983. Kathy started her own dog obedience business in 1996 in Hawaii, and relocated to Northern Virginia in 2000. The Animals' House in May of 2001. Kathy is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She is also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through APDT.
